THE JULY 4th NEWSLETTER

How fortunate we are as a nation that our founders worked together to write and sign the Declaration of Independence on July 4th 1776, which commemorates the birth of the United States of America as an independent nation.  I love 4th of July!

Ever Wonder Why We Commemorate Independence Day by Setting Off Thousands of Fireworks all over the country in town squares, parks and backyards?

John Adams, our second President (1797–1801), envisioned how future generations would commemorate it.

Before the Declaration of Independence was even signed, in a letter to Abigail Adams on July 3, 1776, he wrote that the occasion “ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.”

He continued to say, “You will think me transported with enthusiasm, but I am not. I am well aware of the Toil and Blood and Treasure, that it will cost us to maintain this Declaration, and support and defend these United States.”

He was right. Gaining our independence was not free and maintaining it isn’t free either. Please remember our service members abroad, at home and retired veterans. They are the ones who continue to be committed to preserving our freedom.

Happy 4th of July and God Bless America!

GOING FOR 50 STATES

So far I have sold a book to individuals in 43 States, Great Britain and Canada (British Columbia). We are calling on individuals from these seven States to get a copy Angel’s Truck Stop:

  • Arkansas
  • Minnesota
  • Mississippi
  • Nebraska
  • North Dakota
  • Vermont
  • Wyoming

Maybe you…
- are from one of those States and I missed recording your State, or
- sent a book to a friend in one of those States. OR,
- live in one of those States and want to buy a book so I can make my goal for 50.

Do eBooks counts? YES! If you bought an eBook and live in one of those states let me know.

Speaking of eBooks - Check out the NEW PDF version that was recently produced. It sells for $8.99- works as good as an eBook and is cheaper.

You can still get the eBook on iBooks, but the Amazon Kindle version has been removed. Why? Because Amazon charges per megabyte to deliver the ebook against royalties earned. Result: Amazon $527 – Angel  zero $$.
